Sunset is such a beautiful time to capture vibrant colors from the sky that are just not visible during mid-day. This is especially true at the exclusive “Beach Club” within the Summerside community. This private lake resort in the heart of south Edmonton is complete with a boating dock, a sand beach for swimming, and even a fishing pond!

Tehnia and Kal, thanks for showing us such a great time. Your guys ARE the kids of the family!!! Never have we witnessed grown adults have so much fun on the beach quite like this before. It is all worth it and we hope you guys love these wonderful images as much as we loved chasing you in bare feet and rolled-up jeans.

Can’t wait to catch up with you guys again to show you the rest!

    Your foto geeks,

    ~Anthony + Rina

  • Rachelle + Len :: Dance (Cancun, Mexico) Part II of III

Len and Rachelle (Blog Part 2)-1000

    You have my heart
    We’ll never be worlds apart
… When the sun shines we’ll shine together
Told you I’ll be here forever
Said I’ll always be your friend
Took an oath, I’m going to stick it out ’till the end

~ Umbrella, performed by Scott Simons

As the sun set on their first day as husband & wife, Len and Rachelle had their romantic walk on the beach as they went along the shoreline to the lighthouse. They reached the lighthouse just as the sun fell below the horizon bathing them in a warm glow.

Len and Rachelle (Blog Part 2)-1003

The local wildlife seemed a bit territorial over the lighthouse as a crane watched us, looking rather confused (if a bird can look confused) while we captured some moments by the lighthouse.

Len and Rachelle (Blog Part 2)-1001Len and Rachelle (Blog Part 2)-1002Steve (Mel’s husband) and Mel (Rachelle’s sister) put together a slideshow so all of Len + Rachelle’s friends and families who couldn’t make it out to Mexico were able to wish the happy couple well on their day and be there in virtual presence. What a brilliant idea for couples having destination weddings! Thumbs up Steve & Mel 🙂

Guests partied through the night & the star of the show was Rachelle’s nephew, Darren. His dance moves were the envy of the dance floor and even stole the spotlight from his Aunt & new Uncle!

  • Rachelle + Len :: Dreams (Cancun, Mexico) Part I of III

    Edmonton Wedding Photographers

The warmth of the Mexican sun, the warmth of close family & friends… a birthday, a wedding & a holiday all in one.  We had a blast during Len + Rachelle’s Coney Island e-session where we saw their fun, goofy sides. In Cancun, it was dreams becoming reality.

Love & Laboutins – the two seem to go perfectly hand in hand for weddings.

A visit to the salon and Rachelle’s hair was curled and teased to bridal perfection. The glowing bride had help from her mum and sister for her make up and getting dressed.

From the balcony, Rachelle’s dad looked at his little girl all grown up.

A gift to her husband-to-be, Rachelle bought Len a belt because he had forgotten to buy a new one for the wedding. Their sweet gestures from buying a cake (Rachelle celebrated her birthday in Mexico!) to a belt made their holiday wedding that much more special and made us smile.Edmonton Wedding PhotographersEdmonton Wedding Photography

The ceremony took place on a cliff top overlooking the ocean. The view seemed to go on forever, but the focus was on Len + Rachelle during the tearful ceremony.

From cliff top to beach front, the bridal party & their guests celebrated with a Mexican band playing in the background.  Heads up for future grooms celebrating on a beach – sand will get into your shoes!  Consider the sandal option for the partying.  Their glowing smiles say it all!

  • Karen + Sam :: I Did It My Way (Seattle, WA, USA) – Part III of III

Karen + Sam’s bright wedding colours and the  smiles on everyone’s faces lit up the marquee at the Golf Club at Newcastle.

The celebrations kicked off with a live band.  The heartfelt speeches brought tears of joy, laughter and happiness.  Particularly as no one could help themselves in making fun of one another’s countries!

The morning rehearsal for the surprise dance paid off.  The girls were definitely bootylicious as they danced to Beyonce’s ‘Single Ladies’.  Sam looked incredibly happy he ‘put a ring on it.’

Sam (you may recognize him as the groom!), Dave (one of Sam’s groom’s man) and their Praise Team rocked to’ Sweet Child Of Mine’ by Guns ‘n Roses.  Never ones to leave a happy crowd hanging, their encore was ‘It’s My Life’ by Bon Jovi.  Their brilliant renditions of these classics got everyone onto the dance floor.

To cap a day of new beginnings, guests wished the bride & groom off with sparklers.  We then whisked the happy couple off for a night cap at a cosy bar where the happy couple could enjoy one another’s company.   Sam put it simply & eloquently, “I have a hot wife!”

Sam + Karen we are thrilled to have you as part of our Infused Studios family and were incredibly touched by the warm welcome we received from your family & friends.   We are so thankful to have met you two & honoured you chose us to share in your day.  We can’t wait to have dinner with Mr & Mrs Ng, until then we have fond memories of dinner with Mr Ng and Miss Liu.

    P.S. we think you’re both “hot” 😉
