Happy 10th Anniversary CiCi & Steve! Wow what a decade it’s been! From engagement photos to the wedding and now the vow renewal, you guys, we are so honoured to have captured these beautiful memories.
We met CiCi and Steve 11.5 years ago when they were searching for a wedding photographer. We were booked for their original wedding date & CiCi was determined to have us capture their big day so she changed her date and venue to have us 😊.
These 2 are some of the most beautiful people we know AND an amazing couple.
We had the joy of spending a full day in Banff with them and their adorable dog Penny for their engagement session. We got to know their silly personalities and saw how much they care for one another. Their wedding day introduced us to their closest family and friends and we still remember the 11pm McDs photo call (they LOVE McDs) as the finishing image to capture a truly joyous day.
Fast forward 10 years and we have remained friends through kids (hi Max, Logan and Evi!) and even when COVID turned the world upside down, we stayed in touch. CiCi’s @ciciwonger account has been an inspiration to share the ups AND downs and realness of motherhood and I highly recommend a follow! When I started Paper Bunny Studios her unwavering support continued (thanks CiCi!) and it has been my honour to celebrate her boys’ milestones and evolving personalities in real life & on camera.
This year CiCi approached me with an idea. Their boys were looking at their wedding photos and asking “How come I wasn’t in these photos? Where was I when this happened” So what if their boys could be in their wedding?
So we sat down and the magic of “We do… again” came to be. For this vow renewal it was a beautifully private moment and their family took centre stage. Max was the ring bearer. Logan walked Mommy down the aisle. And little Evi? He had a blast throwing flowers. In addition to Anthony and myself, they had 3 other friends join them and we all helped set up the decor. Steve did a wonderful job with the arch and technology kept the boys entertained while the grown ups set the scene.
CiCi, not to make either of us feel old, but knowing you for 11.5 years now has been incredible. I am HUGELY humbled and honoured that you loved our work so much you changed the date of your wedding so we could capture it for you. And to be able to continue capturing the big days and small moments of your family’s life is… just… WOW. Anthony & I wish you and ALL your boys many many more years of happiness, fun, and adventures. Thank you for including us in your story and for being part of ours!
(if you haven’t guessed yet, I’m in love with this family!)
Love. You. ALL. Always.
